I am absolutely delighted to have started this season as 1. Kapellmeister & stellv. GMD at the @staatstheatermeiningen ! This theatre and the Meininger Hofkapelle have such an impressive tradition, which is brought to life and cherished every single day. The orchestra is over 300 years old and has been closely linked to figures such as Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms, Hans von Bülow and Richard Strauss. I am very much looking forward to conducting works like TANNHÄUSER, DON QUIXOTE, OTELLO, DAS RHEINGOLD, HENRY VIII and LA CLEMENZA DI TITO this season!

The Bayreuth Festival celebrated its 150th anniversary, and for the very first time in the festival’s history, RIENZI was performed. I am overjoyed and proud to have been part of this special occasion as assistant to the wonderful conductor @nathstutzmann , alongside some brilliant colleagues. I was able to spend almost three months on the ‘Green Hill’ this summer – a time I will never forget. The second photo shows the musical team after the final performance!
